First Year Portfolio - Winter 2017

Commercial Advertisement:  Inspiration was drawn from old ad's in magazines or newspapers that would be painted and then described in order to sell to the general public.  This is my spin on it.
Commercial Glassware:  This was the first photo I took for this series. I used soya sauce and water to make the "whiskey" on the decanter.  The drop of whisky in the shot was a composite from another image edited in Photoshop.
Commercial Metal/Chrome:  This was a reshoot as I had a fair bit of trouble with this task  I had to use a very large scrim for the very small flask in order to light the entirety of the front side.  It took a lot of playing around.
Commercial Open:  This image was completely open for our own ideas but I wanted to do something simple.  I used a square crop and kept the objects simple. This is my favorite commercial image.
Environmental Portrait:  This day was really cold and I am so thankful that Jake was able to put up with me long enough to get some good shots!  I loooooooove this photo, but then again, I might be biased as I also love the man!
Low Key Portrait:   I was challenged with this one as I accidently shot the entire time underexposed (a little issue with the tethering program).  Upon realizing my mistake, we corrected and ended up with this awesome photo.  I just love the speculars in his eyes.
High Key Portrait: This portrait is by far the image I am most proud of in this portfolio. The costuming and model couldn't have been better suited. She is so beautiful,  Everytime I see this image I almost can't believe I created this!
Portrait Open:  I wanted to shoot Low Key with a woman and thank goodness Olivia was around to help make it happen.  I chose this photo over all the others in our session because she looks exactly how a woman who's about to go kick some western ass would look and I love it!
